Pressure / Vacuum Relief Valve with Pipe-Away Feature and Pressure Spring MODEL 1221B
Description
The Model 1221B is used for pressure and vacuum relief where vapors must be diverted through piping. Escaping vapors are channeled through a flanged outlet connection. This helps provide greater fire protection and safety. The Model 1221B pressure/vacuum relief valve is a spring-loaded version of the Model 1220 PVRV, designed for use at pressures of 1 PSIG and above.
The flanged outlet connection allows escaping vapors to be channeled through piping instead of being released directly to the atmosphere.
Peripheral and central seat guides ensure reliable, repeatable performance.
A wide seat and an air-cushion seal keep leakage low long after the valve enters service.
The self-draining housing body and drip rings protect the seat surfaces from condensate and freezing, increasing operational reliability.
Fluoropolymer seat diaphragms are standard to minimize sticking caused by resinous vapors and atmospheric moisture.
