Description
FOR SCREW-TYPE AND DISPOSABLE HOLDERS
The STD rupture disc is a solid-metal, pre-bulged differential pressure relief device that provides instant full opening in milliseconds in an overpressure event. Use it to protect equipment, vessels and systems from overpressure conditions.
The STD is ideal for static, pulsating or cyclic operating conditions, but requires a vacuum support to withstand vacuum.
Like the STD rupture disc with 30° seat, the STD rupture disc with 1/2" and 11/16" flat seat is recommended for operating pressures up to 70% of the disc's nominal burst pressure.
Available sizes: 1/2" or 11/16"
Seat configuration: Flat seat
Burst pressure range: 3-15,000 psig (0.207-1035 barg)
Table 4 – Maximum/Minimum Burst Pressures for Standard Rupture Discs at 72˚ F (22˚ C).
Table 2A – Burst Tolerance and Maximum Recommended Operating Pressures.
Available materials: Aluminum, nickel, alloy 400, 316 stainless steel, alloy 600
Operating temperature: Up to 1,000°F (538°C)
Depending on materials of construction – see Table 3, Maximum Temperature for Rupture Disc Materials, Linings and Coatings.
Service: Gas or liquid
Manufacturing range: See Table 2, Manufacturing Ranges
