Description
A sensor that pairs with a rupture disc assembly to trigger an alert when a disc bursts.
Use the BDI to immediately alert your system operator when an overpressure or vacuum condition causes a disc to rupture. The BDI can be applied across a wide range of industries and processes, wherever you need instant notification of a ruptured disc.
Reduce downtime, increase efficiency, and ensure the safety of your facilities with the BDI (Burst Disc Indicator) Alarm System. When an overpressure or vacuum condition causes a disc to rupture, the BDI immediately sends a signal to the control room to alert the system operator.
The core of the Burst Disc Indicator Alarm System is the BDI Alarm Strip. When a disc ruptures, it severs the electrically charged strip, opening the circuit and sending a signal to the control room.
We have developed an optional alarm monitor system to notify operators or activate the appropriate equipment.
The B.D.I.® Alarm Monitor has been developed as an optional alarm system to notify operators or activate the appropriate equipment in the event of an overpressure or vacuum event for a specific B.D.I.® Alarm Strip. Control panels, annunciators, light panels, or other signaling devices can be used to warn of a ruptured disc. The B.D.I.® Alarm System is versatile and adapts to a variety of warning devices. Pumps, valves, and other systems can also be activated to respond to an overpressure or vacuum situation through the rupture of a specific B.D.I.® Alarm Strip.
The B.D.I. Alarm Strip is connected to the monitoring system through the B.D.I. Connecting Cable Assembly. A two-pin bullet plug protects the terminals at the connection point from moisture. It is abrasion-resistant, flexible, and highly weather-resistant. This system provides immediate notification of a ruptured disc to reduce downtime, increase efficiency, and ensure the safety of your facilities.
