Description
The Groth Model 2300A emergency relief valve is designed to vent to atmosphere an emergency relief capacity greater than that offered by a standard operating valve used on low-pressure tanks, piping, and vessels. Emergency relief valves provide protection against excessive internal pressures that could cause tank damage.
The Model 2300A is built entirely from corrosion-resistant materials. Groth's special fluoropolymer "air-cushioned" pallet, with a central stabilizing stem and peripheral guides, ensures uniform seating and precise alignment. High-performance fluoropolymer seat diaphragms are standard to minimize sticking caused by resinous vapors and atmospheric moisture. The guides support a spun metal protective hood that covers and protects the entire valve structure. As additional protection against the entry of foreign particles, a mesh surrounds the valve beneath the protective hood.
Can be used for emergency relief on smaller tanks
Peripheral and central seat guides ensure reliable, repeatable performance
A wide seat and an air-cushion seal keep leakage to a minimum even after prolonged valve use
The self-draining housing body and drip rings protect the seat surfaces from condensation and freezing, increasing operational reliability
