Description
A reverse-acting, cross-scored rupture disc with precise indentations that initiate failure to allow reversal at low burst pressures.
Reliable, accurate, easy to install and simple to adapt to your existing piping system, the RCS rupture disc is the clear choice for your operation. In addition, the thicker rupture disc materials and fluoropolymer lining and coating options make the RCS highly corrosion resistant. We cross-score the vent side to prevent process buildup or corrosion along the score lines on the process side.
Reliable, accurate, easy to install and simple to adapt to your existing piping system, the RCS rupture disc is the clear choice for any gas-only application.
As a reverse-acting, cross-scored rupture disc, the RCS delivers high-performance pressure relief for larger sizes than those available in the HPX line.
High precision, optimal flow
We use high-precision manufacturing techniques to create slight indentations on the RCS dome surface, ensuring it begins to reverse at exactly the specified burst pressure.
In addition, the cross-score pattern of the RCS rupture disc provides a clean, consistent opening pattern, as well as a non-fragmenting four-petal design, which allows optimal flow.
Corrosion protection
The thicker rupture disc materials and the optional fluoropolymer coatings and linings (for both vent and process sides) make the RCS highly corrosion resistant. We also cross-score the vent side of the RCS to prevent process buildup or corrosion along the score lines on the process side.
Safety ratio
If your RCS rupture disc is damaged during installation or handling, it will still provide pressure relief at or below 1.5 times its nominal (marked) burst pressure.
The RCS is an ideal choice for primary or secondary system relief protection and provides an effective means of fugitive emissions control when used to isolate a safety relief valve.
Optional features
The RCS is available cleaned for oxygen or chlorine service.
