Description
The Groth Model 7658A Deflagration and Detonation Flame Arrester inhibits flame propagation in gas piping systems. Its design makes it ideal for protecting liquid storage tanks containing NEC Group D gases (IEC Class IIA).
Vertical or horizontal installation
In-line or end-of-line deflagrations
Unstable detonations
Burn time tBT: 10 minutes
Bidirectional with respect to flow and ignition source
Elements can be easily removed in-line for cleaning and maintenance, and are inexpensive to replace if necessary
Low pressure drop, with multiple element sizes available for each flange size
A thermocouple for flame detection is required per ATEX and USCG codes
